Rain changes everything for a goalkeeper. The ball becomes slippery, your confidence in your own hands wanes, and a single mistake is enough to concede a goal. With wet latex, this is a problem you can’t train your way out of. KEEPERsport Aqua Glue solves it right on the glove.
Latex needs friction to provide grip. As soon as water gets between the ball and the latex, this friction drops dramatically and the ball slips through your hands. This happens with any glove, no matter how high-quality the latex is. KEEPERsport Aqua Glue turns this principle on its head: instead of moisture destroying the grip, it activates it. The formula remains sticky when wet, rather than becoming instantly slippery on contact with water, as untreated latex does.
✅ Lightly dampen your goalkeeper’s glove.
✅ Apply a pea-sized amount of KEEPERsport Aqua Glue to the glove.
✅ Spread the product from the palm to the fingertips.
Tip: Less is more. Test the amount beforehand in training. Too much Aqua Glue can actually reduce the desired effect.
Some gloves go one step further. Models featuring Aqua Claw Latex, such as the KEEPERsport Hero Elite Power or the Champ Elite NC Aqua, are specifically designed for wet conditions. Their latex is inherently optimised for wet conditions and only develops its best grip when damp.
KEEPERsport Aqua Glue and Aqua Latex gloves work in the same way. If you want to be on the safe side in the rain, combine the two: a glove built for wet conditions with a grip booster that kicks in exactly where moisture normally becomes a problem.
KEEPERsport Aqua Glue is one of several products that together form the complete care system for your gloves. Each product covers a different job.
Glove Cleaner cleans your gloves after every use and reactivates the grip that sweat, dirt and abrasion strip from the latex. Clean your gloves after every use — that is the foundation for a long lifespan and consistent grip, regardless of which other care product you use alongside it.
Grip Glue is the counterpart to Aqua Glue: for dry conditions and hard artificial turf, when the ball is firm and offers little tack. Where Aqua Glue works in the wet, Grip Glue delivers maximum adhesion when conditions are dry.
Glove Dry Buddy ensures your gloves dry correctly after cleaning, in the right position and without moisture collecting in the fingers.
GK Towel is your pitch-side companion: dry your hands, give your gloves a quick wipe, and be ready before the next goal kick.
Together, these products cover every weather condition and every phase around the match. Cleaning as the foundation, Aqua Glue for the rainy day, Grip Glue for the dry artificial pitch, Dry Buddy and GK Towel for the care in between.
Not a substitute for Vaseline, but goalkeeping technology
Some goalkeepers, out of habit, resort to household remedies such as Vaseline when it rains. The problem is that Vaseline is designed for skin, not for latex. It forms a greasy film on the surface, clogs the pores of the latex and blocks the very property that provides good grip. In the long term, the latex underneath dries out more quickly and loses its durability.
KEEPERsport Aqua Glue is not a makeshift household solution, but a formula specially developed for goalkeeper glove latex. It penetrates the latex rather than simply sitting on top of it, is water-repellent rather than greasy, and does not damage the latex structure.
KEEPERsport Aqua Glue is no substitute for regular glove care. Clean your gloves after every use – this is essential to ensure that latex and grip products can work properly. Then leave the gloves to air-dry, but not with the fingers pointing downwards, otherwise moisture and dirt will collect there. The Glove Dry Buddy keeps the gloves in the correct position whilst they are drying.

Can I use KEEPERsport Aqua Glue even in dry weather?
No. Aqua Glue is designed for wet conditions and wears out much more quickly in dry conditions. For dry conditions, Grip Glue is the right choice.
Is KEEPERsport Aqua Glue the same as Vaseline?
No. Vaseline is a skincare product and is not designed for use with latex. Aqua Glue has been specially developed for the latex used in goalkeeper gloves and does not damage the material’s structure.
How often should I apply KEEPERsport Aqua Glue?
Before each use in the rain or damp conditions, apply a small amount.
Does KEEPERsport Aqua Glue dry out the gloves?
No, quite the opposite. The formula is water-repellent and enhances grip rather than putting strain on the latex.
